IF money wasn't an issue

Now I have a simple question if money wasn't your limiting factor, what would be the pen you get and the ink paired with it?

For me it would be dunhill namiki turtle it looks so interesting and such a clean look, the ink i would pair with it would be standard bindery road trip!

As i see it you are never an expert just a beginner learning a new trick!

Waterman Harlequin with Iroshizuku yama-budo. I already own a Waterman Opera, and I've always wanted to complement it with a Harlequin.

I would imagine the limiting factor there would be that Standard Bindery went out of business quietly (without so much as a whimper, or even notifying its ‘authorised’ retailers, especially those overseas) back in 2020, as if it was one of the casualties of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Anyway, money isn't exactly the limiting factor, but my personal views about (minimum criteria regarding) value-for-money are. If tax liabilities that it triggers weren't an issue (as in it wouldn't trigger such), I'd probably get the Platinum Izumo Takeami that I ‘always’ wanted but never bought; it was always priced over the threshold that earns Australian Customs's scrutiny. There is no special ink (that I don't already have) I'd put in it; Pelikan Edelstein Smoky Quartz, of which I still have umpteen bottles, will do fine.

I endeavour to be frank and truthful in what I write, show or otherwise present, when I relate my first-hand experiences that are not independently verifiable; and link to third-party content where I can, when I make a claim or refute a statement of fact in a thread. If there is something you can verify for yourself, I entreat you to do so, and judge for yourself what is right, correct, and valid. I may be wrong, and my position or say-so is no more authoritative and carries no more weight than anyone else's here.

This is why i love these posts 1 i learn about new pens/ink, 2 lil history thankfully i stocked on standard bindery for some reasons so I have few of the inks stashed away

I would want a Waterman Carene Marine Amber with an EF nib and fill it with Waterman Absolute Brown. Or the black and silver trim one with Serenity Blue. Or the black and gold with Black ink.

Ok, I just want a Carene and don't  mind which colour.

Will work for pens...

Yard-o-Led Viceroy Victorian (standard size).

And also, if at all possible, a full sized Plum Parker 51 (in the meantime I'm contenting myself with the Plum Demi....

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Well, post pix when you get them (especially if you can take them in daylight -- I wasn't 100% certain about my Plummer until I put it up against the black 51 Vac that came in the same mail, and a Burgundy one I already had, until I took them outside in sunlight).

I'm just staggered by the breadth and depth of knowledge on FPN, and someone surely will be able to ID them for you.
