Repairers still working on all-metal Wahl pens?

I guess this pen is a lost cause.   Does anyone know of a reputable seller who handles these metal Wahl pens? I'd really like to have a fully usable sterling one.

You will need to clean out the interior of the cap thoroughly, particularly around the threads. Use solvent and a wire brush. Then apply Loctite Form-A-Thread, taking care with the instructions regarding use of release compound.
Do not attempt to shorten the inner cap.
Do not attempt to expand the barrel threads.
Do not shorten the section.

Well, that looks like a miracle product tailor-made for this application. Unfortunately it appears to no longer be available. Guess I can try an ebay seller and hope it's not 20 years old! :)

$45!!!! Single or multiple use? Does it dry out eventually like Super Glue in the bottle?

It appears to be a two part epoxy plus a separate release compound, so it should last a good long time. And at least for the volume needed for something like a pen cap, it should be good for a few uses I hope.

Go to the Loctite website and/or do a google search for the Loctite application data.  It will tell you all kinds of useful things, including the shelf life of the product.
