Pen rejoined my collection...

When I was High School in the mid 70's I bought a cheep Sheaffer and never used it much. It sat in my desk long after moving away. My first "real" fountain pen was a Pelikan m200 in 2008 and have been collecting fountain pens ever since.  Many years later on a visit back to California I looked though the desk and there it was. As the pen had a translucent red body and red really isn't my color I gave it my best friend and returned back to Washington.  About four months ago I moved back to California and live a few miles from my best friend. Yesterday we were talking about fountain pens and he asked if I wanted it back. When you hit my age and feeling nostalgic having my first fountain pen back is so cool. It's in like new condition and even after soaking not a hit of ink in the section. I really must have cleaned it will all those years ago. I have cartridges coming tomorrow and will be inking it up then.

 

While I have two vintage Sheaffers I had to celebrate by buying a NOS 330 from Peyton that will also be here in a few days

I have to say that once I get cartridges to use, I really like writing with this pen. I normally use thicker pens but this one was comfortable for longer writing sessions. Smooth and comfortable. I got Sheaffer brown cartridges and the ink has been nice as well. I'm happy it's back and a link to my younger self.
