Information request on pen

I have just joined this group in search of some information on this presumably vintage pen I came across at a thrift store a few years back. There was quite a large space between the feed and nib and I just got around to repairing it. I suppose I am just curious if anyone has any information on this pen. All I know about it is what I can see on the pen itself. GOLDEN KING, Made in USA. 14K gold nib.

Not all eBay listings are correct, of course. :-)
