Review of woodex no.4 in green ebonite

Long time observer first time poster. After getting inspired reading about deccan advocate and woodex #4, finally ordered one. Really nice wirter with ebonite feed and #6 Kanwrite fine nib. Was planning to switch with a fine flex nib but seems difficult to remove. Wirtes wet with a pencil lime feedback.

This is kind of an oversized pen and having big hands felt perfect for me. Also i own other fountain pens such as jinhao, click, guider etc. This felt like one of the better built pens.

Other users of this pen kindly give in your thoughts. Overall good first impressions for me will update over long term.

Thanks for reading.

It's a good pen for the price. Enjoy 👍 I had this and few other Deccan Advocates earlier. Now I have only kept two Advocates, both with squeeze-filler.

Mine is eydropper. Didn't know there was squeeze filled one available.

It's no longer available. Mine is an old pen. But Woodex has similar models which they can offer you with 3-in-1 filling.

Here is my post on those old Advocates:

Congrats on your new pen.

Have they changed the clip on the model 4? That's a pity.

Here's my Model 4 in green ebonite. Click on the image for more pictures.

That's a really nice finish. They offer both the clips but mine didn't have the ball end. By the way can you swap nibs? Mine feels like it could need a knockout unit. Though seller is willing to switch it if i send them back to him.

Congrats, great pen, I have the Deccan version of this one. From Woodex, i have the round top version. Great for long writing sessions.

Thanks. Was searching for deccan but found that woodex was a bit longer and easier to find. I too mainly bought this for marathon writing sessions. Larger than my only other ebonite pen click century.
