Recommendations on shorthand method

I’d like to learn a shorthand method for note taking during meetings. I’m going to be in more meetings for my new job, and many of these meetings are sensitive in nature. I want to capture quotes and exact language more quickly. What do you all recommend?

I learned one in high school - for fun.  But I don't remember which.  I would have been whichever was common in the NE US in the late 1980s...  Wish I'd kept it up.  Will be curious to see what recommendations folk have.
