Hello

Does anyone know what this model is?  I looked up various Waterman's vintage lineups, but I couldn't find them.

After some internet sleuthing I'd guess a Master/Côtelé.

Also, possibly, Master is the model name and Côtelé refers to the finish.

Appears to be a skinny ballpoint or rollerball.

1979/1980 or thereabouts.

I would vote for "Waterman Master": see below, although I find the distinction between / nomenclature of /determination of Master, Supermaster and Côtelé very confusing. This pen is very thin and it is ribbed (Waterman: "Côtelé", Sheaffer: "fluted"), so if I would have had the task of naming it, it would have been called Waterman Supermaster (Super Master) Côtelé Chrome finish, Gold trim.

[My problem with the nomenclature of this pen as "Waterman Master": 1) Waterman master types ordinarily are thicker, 2) certainly not all Waterman Master are ribbed, so Côtelé should be added in my view]

If anyone can shed light on Master, Supermaster and Côtelé, I would welcome it...
