If you're talking about the Z28 converter, I've disassembled it many times (it's one of the only ways I've found to fully clean this converter).

You are referring to the Z27. It is not an exclusive converter for the Lamy Aion and visually it is characterized by the black knob.
To disassemble it, you first need a couple of pieces of rubber (I use dishwashing gloves, but it could be any other rubber). On one side, you grab the metal band and, on the other, the muzzle. While pulling out the band, hold the muzzle tightly. It is necessary to use force for a few seconds, it does not come off easily.
In the most difficult cases you can apply, very carefully, a little heat with a match or a lighter. I suppose the ideal would be a heat gun, but not everyone has one.
After stripping and cleaning, put some silicone grease on the sealing lip. Just a little, don't overdo it, or else the silicone may mix with the ink and clog the feed.
The silicone will keep the ink from getting into the back area, which I assume is why you want to disassemble the converter.

My spaceship has a Lamy Ion Convertor©. Makes your ship go a few parsecs more on one load of antimatter. Haven't had the opportunity to take it apart yet. It just keeps running like clockwork. Recommended.

Ok, seriously: Someone was so kind to make a visual manual:

I used to have one of those too, but I ended up selling it.
Like you said, it just keeps on running like clockwork - which is fine most of the time, but becomes a problem when one finally gets one’s ship up into Relativistic speeds, and clockwork starts doing weird things 🙄

😉

And vielen Dank for the video that you’ve linked-to - it should enable me to prolong the usability of my Z24/28s
