Dianshi DS-7158 Demonstrator Hatch Retractable

Recommended Posts

Dianshi updated their DS-784 (Midas) with 4 demonstrator models a couple a months ago.

They are now selling the nib hatch body for $1.50 in the event you want EF/F or somehow break the barrel.  This should solve the concern that was raised with the DS-784. It was purported that the hatch was slight and thus would inevitably break.  I have had 4 in my rotation throughout the summer and I have never had that issue but now there is a solution if the problem does arise. The pen also does not leak. First time everytime writer. The catridges remain proprietary but they are cheap and can be bought on Aliexpress or Taobao or just take a syringe and fill refill them.

The pen is $5-6 depending on where you buy it on Taobao. The hatch body is $1.50 in all four colors. large.tb_image_share_1723825909527.jpg.png.4c02ad13c19e8c49e145299458ae1814.pnglarge.SmartSelect_20240816_123558.jpg.4a6ead4703fe92cabb85622ab721b9c1.jpglarge.SmartSelect_20240816_123553.jpg.03644f5b58adc5b3064e9d9d2f777748.jpglarge.SmartSelect_20240816_123549.jpg.66fc5a4c897bac20fd30e4cab52fec6d.jpglarge.tb_image_share_1723826142317.jpg.png.d55dfc86cb50b9689e75597b77eb635c.pnglarge.SmartSelect_20240816_123533.jpg.a76cd773a15cce960f557d8a29a4c95c.jpglarge.tb_image_share_1723825899250.jpg.png.bd3413f33f550780082e00b719a86dc9.pnglarge.tb_image_share_1723825879613.jpg.png.6b34edfbcbfa47176d6bfdfbaa14fbc4.pnglarge.tb_image_share_1723825885168.jpg.png.840a2d661dd00a29e8e3b37d7738141b.pnglarge.tb_image_share_1723825873553.jpg.png.0ede75387c15e14a2368b8043fd997df.pnglarge.tb_image_share_1723825866601.jpg.png.8c656bf29d097beb74efe70f9e7c8e02.pnglarge.tb_image_share_1723825861265.jpg.png.756169c754a500375c46e4f9d403ebfa.pnglarge.tb_image_share_1723825852672.jpg.png.245374f79f4b1fc20addf2ceddaa5c24.pnglarge.tb_image_share_1723825835310.jpg.png.1838847db7c26556b861eb88f8ca6942.pnglarge.tb_image_share_1723825828186.jpg.png.48b94337fadafdd6b33d2a386545a081.pnglarge.tb_image_share_1723825819849.jpg.png.a3a9008d70e61d8878309720a4987173.pnglarge.tb_image_share_1723825807014.jpg.png.25eb8eb10a1d1dd07a6432a17a6b821f.pnglarge.tb_image_share_1723825654764.jpg.png.baf89e3312de2b1f39756e5616e7ee78.pnglarge.tb_image_share_1723825650166.jpg.png.dcaf049e16cfa05a986804d9a4bdaeaf.pnglarge.tb_image_share_1723825644595.jpg.png.461a2e9179acd180f7e5c0036babfe39.pnglarge.tb_image_share_1723825638764.jpg.png.3fc992806c5a0098a5a0f3e1af29dcbc.pnglarge.tb_image_share_1723825634928.jpg.png.e061ef1e35558427a3bd7637c3d9aa21.png

Looks weird with that hatch in the tip. 🙂 And a bit fragile.

@Astronymus

I would recommend it due to smooth operation but it definitely falls into that "eye of the beholder" category.
