Help identifying and with repair

I have inherited this pen. I think it’s around 50/60 years old.

The thread on the pull out is broken and tape has been used.

Any help in what model it is and if it is repairable in the UK would be appreciated.

You probably could get a barrel and repair that pen yourself, or with some help from someone you may know, likely the value may be that it was from a family member that to me does give it value I would think. The parts are probably not expensive, barrel oring and sac...

Regards, Glen

I'm not sure if this is the same in your case, but I received an ordinary watch from my grandmother's estate.  I spent quite a bit of money to fix it up, far more than it's appraisal value.

But I remember her wearing it, and I wear it every year on her birthday and then on through the rest of the summer.  It's a wonderful memento.

Currently most used pen: Parker 51 Aerometric <F> -- filled with Waterman Mysterious Blue ink.

Hi @craig1912,

for repairing vintage Sheaffers here in the UK you could try:

https://www.penhome.co.uk/pages/pen-repairs

They are authorised repairers of various brands, including Sheaffer.
(Btw, my only relationship to them is that I have had them repair of couple of my vintage Parkers.)

Or you might try contacting these guys:

https://pensplus.co.uk/pages/repairs-and-service

(My only relationship to them is that I have had them repair a vintage Pelikan.)

Slàinte,
M.
