I ordered my first Hakase in Martch 2024 ( Amboyna Burl Urushi Coating and Celluloid Jade Green). It needs to wait for 15 months(Urushi is 18 months).

So I decided to order two wooden pen sets for my namiki yukari royale from Taiwan Hualian 後山製造所 , one of famous handmade fountain pen master in Taiwan. I used my favorite namiki yukari royale section to customized.

Amboyna Burl Urushi Coating is very beautiful. But the pink ivory one is very stunning.Pink Ivory ranges in color from a pale brownish pink, to a bright, almost neon pink, to a deep red. Typically the most valuable pieces of Pink Ivory are a vibrant  pink. Pink Ivory can commonly be seen with a curly or fiddleback grain pattern, further enhancing its visual impact.( quote from https://www.wood-database.com/pink-ivory/), this wood is so amazing and incredible, as red as watermalen, coating wood wax oil to preserve the texture of the original wood.

Those are gorgeous.  I was going to ask what the pink ivory is made from since the brain looks like wood (and not ivory), but instead I looked it up.  That sounds like a really nice material!

Am I understanding correctly that you provided sections from Yukari Royale pens and they built bodies around them?
