Wirebound A4/letter size notepads, share your favorites?

Due to the difficulty of getting cleanly removed pages from staple bound notepads, unless the staple bound area was dismantled, i switched to the same brand, Rhodia, with wirebound pages, which I really like.

What are your favorite brands of wirebound A4/letter size white paper notepads?

I really like Clairefontaine. It’s hard to find a top spiral bound notepad in A4 with quality paper. Many brands have lowered the weight of their paper.

Maruman Mnemosyne, of which I may have 3-4 unused still.  I switched to A5 coptic-bound notebooks quite some time ago.

Clairefontaine and Oxford.

@Wil D I’m with you. Hamelin brands and Clairefontaine make some excellent paper in my humble opinion. I love my Rhodia number 18 pad and my Europa A4 spiral bound pad.

I got started in the fountain pen world about 18 years ago and my most-favorite paper has always been, and still is, Clairefontaine.  I've tried other papers, just to give them a try, but my own biases and prejudices maintain Clairefontaine as my favorite.

To be fair, here are other stationery-quality papers I've used.  And Yes, I do have a small supply of each and occasionally use them:

---  Tomoe River

---  Fabriano Ecoqua

---  Int'l Paper (formerly Wausau)

---  Rhodia

---  Domtar

---  Mohawk

---  Neenah

Thank you so much!

From the paper listed any of them really lightweight for international correspondence.

There is of course the Yamamoto paper in Japan with about 30 gsm typewriter paper. Not cheap though… Only if you visit Japan.

I use Rhodia 80 gsm, but this one is really light.

Check him out on Etsy or his store in Japan

I made my own variant using Atoma discs and Smythson paper.

For airmail letters I have used: Life Airmail paper, Glassine 35gsm bought from Yamamoto, and Southworth cockle finish onionskin paper, which may not be available new, but is easily available online. Yamamoto has a great deal in which you buy 5 packs of paper of any variety and pay $20 for shipping to the US (if that’s your location).
