Montblanc Boheme gem replacement

Hello Folks,

 

The gem on the cap of my rollerball Mb Boheme seems to have fallen off. 

Is there a way to get a new gem to replace it? Im from B'lore India and looking at a possibility to get tis fixed.

Hi @S.SRamana, welcome!

Not specific to the Boheme, you may look for a stone of your liking at a minerals exhibition and either grind it down to the preferred size by your own or let it be done by a jeweller. The stone is partly jammed and additionally glued in place. I would recommend to not do such a fixation by yourself, except you have the right tools.

However, there is also the possibility to send the pen back to Montblanc, pay the standard repair fee and wait for some month. That way you get an original back.

Please let us know which way you went.

 

PS: besides being sad for some time, I would see the loss as a chance to adhere a completely different stone, making the Boheme a one-of-a-kind.
