Rarity of Parker 45 Flighter Special GT in Rage Red and USA-made, please?

I am trying to figure out how rare the 45 Flighter Special (the version that has a barrel tassie color that matches the section) in Rage Red is? Also, non-black ones that were made in the USA?

Parker Pens Penography: PARKER 45 shows a maroon and black one, both CT, and made in the UK, both from Tsachi Mitsenmacher's collection, with the caption,

The uncommon Parker "45" Flighter Special. Made in the UK in 1968. Steel pens with section and tassie in other colours than black. There are Blue and Maroon examples in the Parker archives, but red has also been found."

Also, does anyone know who does the parker45pens.com site? There is no name or contact info there.

Please read this thread.

P45 flighters with American made Rage Red barrel end pieces are common in the Japanese market. Many have dimple type cap top screws. I have seen items with a 1980's warranty card in the box.

I do not know about the same variation made in England.

P.S.

I have two each in Rage Red and Burgundy, and three in blue, all with 14k gold nibs.

Thank you, @Number99. I suspect mine are originally from the Japanese market.

Have you seen them in this box?

It can only be determined that it was made in the United States. It is possible that it was sold in Thailand.

Additional info.

Please see page 60 of the Parker archive catalog, Sep 1994, in the PCA Reference Library.

The blue, black and maroon GT flighters are shown along with their age, although it is not certain that they were made in the United States.

However, there is no Rage Red.

There are several variations specific to the Japanese market, but none of them appear in this catalog.

P.S.

Sorry, the box is a type that is often seen in Japan, but I have no information on the use of this box in other regions.

Wow!  What a fascinating bit of archival material.  Thanks for posting the link!
