Looking to buy a Parker 51

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

It has been a long time since my last visit. Please forgive me for not knowing how to find a Parker 51 that is for sale.

If someone would be so kind as to direct me to the correct section, I would be grateful.

Or if someone here has one that would be helpful. I would prefer an Aerometric type, medium nib. O do not know much about these pens but they seem to be THE pen to have in a collection.

Right now I have several Montblancs, Sheaffers, Pelikanos and Eversharps and Parker 45's.

Thanks so much.

You can contact Tim Laros. Search for his contact on this forum. IMHO he is the authority on Parker 51s in the USA

Auggie, where are you in Ontario? If you're reasonably close to Toronto and haven't found a suitable P51 by the end of October, come on down to Scriptus, the Toronto Pen Show. Bet you'll find one there, and the nice thing about shopping at a pen show, you can try before you buy.  Happy hunting.

Ooooo, nice one.  Very very tempting!

My latest ebook.   And not just for Halloween!

My other pen is a Montblanc.

@Auggie -- I've gotten some on eBay (the first after getting good advice on what questions to ask the sellers by FPN member OcalaFLGuy) -- but most were ones I've found in the wild at estate sales or antique shops.  Also got one a few years ago in the Saturday night auction at a pen show.

edited for typos

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

And we just bought a huge collection that includes several P51 aerometric and vacumatics, with some hard to find colors such as forest green (aerometric) and mustard (vacumatic).
