Hey all, I just won a bid on a 1st gen vacumatic. I cant quite tell what size it is but I think its a standard. There are sadly no measurements and these images are all I have at the moment.

I believe there should be a small blue diamond on the clip. (Could be wrong only have one vac, and one 51.)

Well, my '38 Vac has one. (has a '36 Canadian BB factroy stub nib.) The pen is inked with Diamine Silver Fox

Ransom Bucket cost me many of my pictures taken by a poor camera that was finally tossed. Luckily, the Chicken Scratch pictures also vanished.

The pen looks great. However, without the exact measurements, it's hard to say which model it is. But you can see the possibilities here: https://parkerpens.net/vacumatic.html

So many beautiful Vac's.....I'm glad i didn't know about a decade and a half ago.....especially living in Germany. The US mailing cost alone was/is $$$.

Nethermark beat me to the punch.  Tony Fischier's site is my go-to for all things Parker Pen.

@Big Red Danny Boy Is there a date code on the pen?  It should be near the imprint on the barrel.  There's an article on the site about how to read the date codes.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

The first-generation Vacumatics didn't have the blue diamond on the clip. Also the Vacumatic on the photos have the first arrow clip in Parker's history.

Good to know....the blue diamond was like the white dot of Shaffer, was a life time repairmark...again, as far as I'd read.

Parker couldn't trademark the arrow in other pen makers had used it before.
