UK Pen Shows 2024

I have decided to post the following links here, which for some unknown reason the organisers have never bothered to do.
Perhaps they only ‘advertise’ on ‘Social Media’? 🤷‍♂️

London’s Spring Show has already happened, so it is not mentioned on this list.

But the rest of its organisers’ UK Pen Show Events for 2024 are scheduled as follows:

Chester - the Northern Pen Show - on April 28th 2024

Birmingham - the ‘Birmingham International Pen Show’ - on 23rd June 2024.
N.b. despite its name, this show is held at a conference/events centre in the centre of Birmingham, very close to New Street station & the ‘Grand Central’ shopping centre.
Its venue is not anywhere near the West Coast Mainline railway station called ‘Birmingham International’, which is located on the outer eastern edge of the city, surrounded by the M6, the NEC, and Birmingham airport.

Newcastle - the Newcastle Pen Show - on 01st September 2024

London - the London Autumn Pen Show - on 13th October 2024

Leeds - the Yorkshire Pen Show - on 01st December 2024

Caveat lector:
There is a small chance that you might bump into me at one of these shows. But please don’t let that horrifying possibility put you off from going to them 😉

Slàinte,
M.

Looking forward to the “Northern” show (though Chester doesn’t fit any reasonable definition of “Northern”). Enjoyed it last year.  (Would have enjoyed it more if I’d pounced on that Omas when I had a chance!)

I‘ve never managed to get to the Birmingham show - it means catching a train and Sunday trains are not very frequent in my part of the world.

There was very substantial queue for the "Early Bird" entrance to the London Pen Show.

The Chester Pen Show, was the best attended yet. I have to admit this was the show I least liked, but the non attendance of some dealers, I took two tables instead of my normal one. The other consideration being I had my car for transport so could take more stock.

The Birmingham Show is already sold out for all tables and things are looking good for the show, again I will have my transport so taking two tables.

Yes, I find it strange that the UK pen shows get no advance coverage here.

Well done for plugging that gap. I have just bought my tickets for the London autumn show. (The plane tickets and accommodation were booked months ago!).

In terms of the above, the operators of UK Pen Shows have little interest in publicising their shows, I have offered to log the shows on FPN but all I got back  was apathy.
