Jacques Herbin Perle Noire in Test Liquids

[Tender Typhoon]

 

Perle Noire left to dry after an hour immersed separately in water and 75% ethyl alcohol.  It appears to be more resistant to alcohol. 

 

 

Upon contact with household bleach, Perle Noire turned reddish brown.  The ink turned yellow seconds later. 

A very faint trace remained at 30 minutes under bleach. Gone by 35 minutes.

Thanks for the resistance tests and mention, @Tender Typhoon!  You're fast becoming the expert in black inks!   I really appreciate it when other folks do these sorts of tests that I don't do.   It adds great stuff to the ink knowledge base.

Thank you so much for doing the test @Tender Typhoon. Herbin inks are fun to use in art, especially with a dip in glass nabbed pen in bleach
