 I hear it's a bear to clean from the pen.  Thankfully, I has all the tools. :D

I'm still cleaning the white muck from the Pilot. Well, to be honest I have forgotten it in the cleaning solution ;)

Oh!, turquoise! Hurray, hurray! 👍 Finally an ink that dries quick :) - all over the desk! 🙄

Thank you @LizEF for the new episode of the magical adventure! The plot is starting to become mystical and mysterious. I'm already very excited about what will inevitably follow. 🫣

As a "standard" ink and predecessor of Edelstein Topaz, 4001 Turquoise lacks some of the qualities of the fancy new formulations but is still a quite useful ink for daily writing. I'm loving both of them (and Waterman Inspired Blue) (and deAtramentis Turquoise) (and Diamine Aqua Lagoon) (and ...) 🤭

Now I have to wait impatiently for next Tuesday. :)

One life!

Reading this because I'll be getting some non reviewed inks in; one a turquoise, and I was so very sure I had both Pelikan 4001 turquoise and the last bit of my old bottle of Lamy Turquoise; to add to the compare section of the form. No go.

I had found both turquoises to be @ even....but outside Oxford Optic I didn't have any other papers to display either ink. Nice common turquoises; like Waterman Caribbean Sea I think it was. As a noobie 15 years ago, I hadn't realized how really good they were.

I was just on the resurrected Sandy1's ink review of this 4001 and ...was nodding my head, at how good the ink was.

I got that particular ... urge. And came up empty.:crybaby:

I will now have to open up my older vintage W.Germany bottle of Lamy turquoise.....and hunt and search to see what other turquoises I have.

The other is Lamy blue.

In a way it's a shame, but inks are there to be used.eAMqXGY.jpg

I'm sure I have enough blue inks, that I'll not have to open the blue bottle.

In reference to P. T. Barnum; to advise for free is foolish, ........busybodies are ill liked by both factions.      Banker's bonuses caused all the inch problems, Metric cures.

Ransom Bucket cost me many of my pictures taken by a poor camera that was finally tossed. Luckily, the Chicken Scratch pictures also vanished.

The cheapest lessons are from those who learned expensive lessons. Ignorance is best for learning expensive lessons.

Exactly!  Much better to enjoy them than to keep them on a shelf for some day that never comes. :)

FWIW, I think the current (well, 2016) version of Waterman Inspired Blue is great as is.  No idea how it might compare to older versions.
