Pen/Ink/Paper Trios

I discovered by mistake, to shake my bottle of Golden Lapis, and then fill from the bottom as the glitter settles down.....suddenly the Golden Sands everyone was showing pictures of, was there.

Before that I shook the bottle well and filled from the top. And got only disappointment, outside the Herbin Storm, but that was a dark ink. Arctic blue works well too.

I have 4 old Diamine glitter inks to revisit.

I do recommend Diamine Arctic Blue, as a glitter full and filled from the top ink. Can't wait to try it  filled from the bottom with settling glitter.

I have been looking at Arctic Blue, but the price difference between what I can buy them in the UK and the US price is crazy. I usually add them to pens I purchase from Cult or Pure Pens. I have a crazy long list going of Diamine inks that I love. Meanwhile, I am adding glitter potion to all the stubs I have inked.  That’s been a very fun project. I can’t wait to see how your safe to experiment pens do with your newfound shimmer distribution method.

That Boucheron never fails to impress me, @USG; nor the beautifully italic Mare. I also absolutely love the jeweler’s bands on the Patricians.

This was an impulse buy at a local pen store.   I wanted a pen with a gold filagree overlay and I saw this.

WoW!!! Aurora Blue! I really got to try a Wide...stubbish dry nib. Perhaps my Lamy Joy 1.5 stub.

I think any thing else I have in wide stubbed is semi-flex, so too wet. Perhaps my Lamy Persona CI in B.

I was not impressed by Aurora Blue until I saw that in USG's post.

I've inked it some three times, over the decade I've had it.

Oxford Optic 90g is one of my favorite papers, I do have spare spiral notebooks stashed away.

Having too many pens inked, will take suggestions, to which nib; the 1.5 stubbed or the CI in B for Aurora blue on Optic paper?

I will of course run it over my other good to better papers.

Ransom Bucket cost me many of my pictures taken by a poor camera that was finally tossed. Luckily, the Chicken Scratch pictures also vanished.

That’s a lovely picture,  @lamarax! What a beautiful Aurora, and a lovely pairing with the paper and ink.

@USG the Bilberry is so pretty on the Snow, as is every other ink, but that one in particular jumps off the page.

@RedPie  paper is so very important, especially now in this golden age of inks.

I’m interested in why the OMAS is your nemesis, what’s the story behind that?

Oof, that’s terrible. I’m sorry. It’s now a very expensive dip pen.

My Omas 360 Demonstrator doesn't seal either.  It doesn't dry out as quickly as yours, but it definitely dries out, and the plastic stains....  Currently I'm using various inks to try to remove the stains...

I've been so, so lucky......but then again, buying old used pens...from back in the day when pen companies repaired pens with no big deal.............they were either made better or repaired before sitting a life time or two in the dark of the drawer.

I am out on the patio with my Parker IM Monochrome Blue, using up the last of the Parker Penman Sapphire cartridge. My notebook is a Sanrio China spiral bound A5 with off white Daolin paper.  large.IMG_4652.jpeg.b6c498d23522d3f04d52980eaf61598b.jpeg

My Parker Pennman sapphire cartridges don't have it either....no sheen, nothing special in any way.:crybaby:And not so vibrantly blue.
