Fake Parker Vector: Satan's fountain pen...

I have about 4 pens from Parker Luxor and their black and blue inks. The sections and nibs are of very good quality, the plastic on the calligraphy set Vector feels a little cheap, but my first Vector’s barrel cracked after a couple of years in Jr. high and that was domestic. The gold plated Vector is great, nib is comparable to the nib in my 88. The Aster pens that I have are top notch. Wet writing matte finish over brass, good nibs. Both chrome plating and gold look nice. The Luxor blue ink has a sheeny outline like @USG likes. The black is terrible, I bought it hoping it wasn’t as problematic as regular Quink black, but nope.

Top 5 of 26 (in no particular order) currently inked pens:

Pelikan M300 CIF, Pelikan Edelstein Golden Beryl

MontBlanc 144R F, Diamine Bah Humbug

Sheaffer 3-25 EF ringtop, Skrip Black

Waterman Caréne Black Sea, Teranishi Lady Emerald

Pilot 742 FA, Namiki Purple cartridge

always looking for penguin fountain pens and stationery

If there is no date code on it...

The presence or absence of a date code cannot be linked to the authenticity of the pen.

The lack of date codes can be traced back much further, e.g. to the Parker Premier UK Noir (1983?-1991?).

Incidentally, my Parker Premier UK Noir does not have a date code either.
