M200 Orange Delight

It there no end to Pelikan's bounty? Cult Pens are trailing a New M200 at £180, the Orange Delight - interestingly, a sort of semi demonstrator, with clear barrel, but solid cap, grip and blind cap and coming in February. I like it!

I can no longer afford LE 200's...........I noticed that with the Pastel I bought.

I have a few translucent 200's so don't need another to see the pen's piston move....a full orange at a lesser price would have been bought.

I've found the M205 version of Orange Delight with silver coloured trim! 🤣

The barrel might be a bit washed out though.

Thought the same pen when I saw the ad😂 Still it is more hopeful than the last pink one.

One of the joys is discovering that for once, Pelikan have got the cap right - the top of the cap is orange, not black, which to my mind makes the pen much more coherent in design. Let's hope Pelikan will be doing this for more future m20X issues.

Too many pens, too little time!

It's a really successful pen, and I hope it sells well. It would be great if Pelikan made this the basis of a new series; I think the transparent / translucent demonstrator line could be retired for a well earned rest!

I am having to hold back, I think it is so good looking that I wouldn't want to use it.

This is probably just my problem, seeing things in general and pens in particular as a beautiful objects first and things of purpose second.

One of those few pens where I would have to think long and hard about the colour of the ink.

Blue and red would be bad news, Green and brown maybe, Black yes, Bright orange perfect.

Deep red, Pink and pastels - never

At €160, I don't need orange. At a 200's normal  €90 is a different question.

I think this is definitely a possibility, even though as always when a new limited edition comes out, the shops offer it at a high premium. I might wait until the price lowers.

But I am glad Pelikan are producing new pens that are practical- e.g. are demonstrators etc. Recently, their abandonment of the translucent bodies of pens has made the latest offerings opaque where it is impossible to check the remaining level of ink. For me, as a ‘practical’ pen user (e.g. someone who writes with a fountain pen...) this makes many of the latest offerings from Pelikan uninteresting, however pretty they may be (like the Black tortoiseshell M605 or the Glauco Cambon M600).

But a new demonstrator M200 in such a pretty colour will be hard to resist!

That new fancy swirling 600 ...is out of reach, like the whole line even used.

The LE 200's have become out of reach. The last one I bought at €160....others long ago were 'very' expensive at €120..for the Amethyst  when a regular 200 went for €80-90.

I do like the marbled brown.DSPqv6F.jpg

MY B&M don't lower prices...I could have gottent hem for less online, but want to keep my B&M in business, founded in 1876...They have an immaculate drool on the floor MB corner.

I wasn't expecting it to be so good looking, @Tom Kellie's great pictures help.

I hope they keep making the demonstrators. They're perfect for making sure the particles in shimmer inks are still in suspension while you write.

I think @Tom Kellie was really smart to get the new orange with an IB nib. I'm sorry Pelikan dropped those as an option. Mine write like a nice stub right out of the box. I'm surprised they've dropped the ink window with their more expensive pens, but kept it for the Classic line. It just makes a pen so much easier to use. I'm always a fan of marrying form with function, pretty though Pelikan's new pens admittedly are. They obviously know I'm already too hooked on the Special Editions to stop buying them now.
