What Pelikan Are You Writing With Today? (2024 Edition)

I cracked the collar on my 400NN nib assembly and just got in the replacement collar from Flexible Nib Factory. It fit perfectly and now my pen is restored to its rightful glory.

It’s a tortoise and the nib is an OM but the nib constantly caught on the paper, causing huge spurts of ink to shoot from it. At the PNW Pen Show I had Thomas Ang smooth it out so now it has all the lovely qualities of an oblique with flex and it’s just a pleasure to write with, one of my best writing pens.

Ack, I only looked at the first version of the P25, and didn't check for the second (which is much more attractive IMO)

😱 Oooh, the profligacy... 😉

Great find!

No was my mistake I had to add black to P25, it is a revised model. Much better looking and no threads. I had to look this one up too. Only had a picture of what I had just bought. 2 Pelikans, 2 Lamys. One Pelikan was a Pelikano, so that was easy. The black Pelikan I had not seen before. And it turned out to be a nice find.

Today my Pelikan 600 medium nib is humming along as I'm getting some correspondence done!

I've been trying to write more with single inks, as opposed to jumping between several; KWZ Hunter Green with my black and chrome 140 F is an absolute dream to use.
