I've checked mine - haven't inked it yet, but everything looks to be in good shape.  We'll see for sure once I start writing with it...

Sorry you got a dud, @Leon_G - at least you can return it.

And all of these great Stipula deals have been sold by Amazon, so you may be able to get a replacement instead of a refund.

I lucked out on my purchase of the Ventidue 22 from Amazon. The pen arrived the day after ordering. It has beautiful resin and the steel stub nib writes really well, out of the box. It's a medium size pen, not too big, not too small; and it has a good weight to it. It seems to be very solidly built, but we'll see as time goes by.

I inked it with the new Lamy violet blackberry ink and have had no problem with the flow. The piston is a little stiff but works well. So far so good with this pen. For less than $50 (with a 20% coupon), it's a real bargain!

@Nyoko, she's a beauty!  And great photography too.

I got one in blue and hope to ink it up soon.  I am still enjoying my Etruria Miele - what a smooth writer!

For those who have both nibs, do you think the 14k Stiflex nib performs better than the SS V-Flex nibs?

I guess they don't mind seeing their names written.

Last night took a screensave of the two Stipula La Ventidue 22 that keep going down in price, but my hotel wifi was insifficient to upload.  Tonight new hotel, better wifi, and the price of one is up 400%.  If anyone wants one of this model, I suggest grabing the remaining cheapo before its price jumps, and while the price decreases are often little by little, when the remaining stock reaches whatever lmit, it tends to jump up in one go.

OK....took a second bite from the Amazon "Stipula" tree. With those prices, I had to give the brand another try.

The Stipula ritual every Monday morning is a thing now.
Although, price fluctuations are limited to a few models now.
Unlike early on, when you would see price changes across most of the line-up every week.

If, by perform, you mean degree of line variation, No. The V-Flex nib offers more line variation out of the box than a non-modified Stiflex.

That said, in practice the Stiflex nib is much more usable, IMO. Smooth. Effortless. I wouldn't use the those adjectives to describe the V-Flex.

Here is a video (starts at he writing sample) by Pen Venture on the three Stipula nibs:

Here's a surprise.  The brown dropped down in price, but the blue did the 400% jump.

The Etruria PRISMA Di Magma with a Stainless Steel Caligraphic 1.1 nib is $150 right now. $120 after coupon. I bought one a couple of days ago when it was slightly less than that.

The one I bought was delivered today. It had a 14kt Medium nib. Not Stiflex, but 14kt gold nonetheless.

SUPREMA FOGLIA D'ORO now at $221, down to $177 after 20% off. LOL.

Yeah, it doesn't have the desired effect one would imagine. Gold flake in clear resin... a translucent resin would probably have worked better.

The Suprema Foglia is notable for being "In Stock", unlike  most other Stipulas, which have very small numbers left.

Wouldn't surprise me if it dropped even lower.

Down again to $173 with 20%-off coupon.

Remember that those discounts aren't universal, but specific to a particular user.

Sure. But they are not specific to only that particular user.
Furthermore, if you "clip" a coupon but then empty your cart without buying, that coupon is gone.

Since I was the one who first created confusion in this thread with the mention of 20% discounts, only to have several people say they didn't see the discounts, I simply wanted to put out there that these discounts are not universal.  For example, I don't have it available to me.  I can get the $217 (which is a wonderful price) as a "deal" but with no

additional discount:

And here is the pricing on Amazon for that item during the last couple of months (from camelcamelcamel.com).  So thank you Theroc for catching it when it reached such a low price point, and for some other lucky folks, an even lower price at $177.
