Diamine Imperial Blue Water Resistance

Diamine imperial blue is my favorite blue, next is... a lot to choose from. 

What I dislike about this ink is the stain left in converters. Still my favorite blue regardless. The stain is easily removed with bleach (3 seconds soaked in bleach and the stain is gone). I don't bleach a converter that I can't disassemble. I definitely do not bleach the grip section. 

Because of its staining property, I tested the ink for its resistance under water. 

The photo shows Diamine imperial blue left to dry after two hours and a half of being immersed in a basin of water.  The color has turned from blue to lavender.

Wow after 2 1/2 hours! That's pretty good   You can aways use Noodler's Eel Red or Sailor Doyou to remove stains from pesky inks. It takes longer for convertors you cannot disassemble
