That's realism in action. I like your style. :)

Will work for pens...

@amberleadavis Wow, that is an epic collection. I think you have all the inks! Plus, I love the antique cabinets.  Thanks for postings pics.

@SamCapote has all the inks, and my inky-enabler @Frank C has many more than I do (and he has gifted me some greats!).  I love your acrylic display stands and I think the way you are displaying your pens is beautiful.

@amberleadavis, awesome as always!

Thank you.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

That's very kind of you to say. Was hoping I could add a new pen cabinet to the display today, but I missed the delivery. It's so nice to share these pics with an appreciative audience. I told my farrier that I collected fountain pens and he looked at me as if I'd grown another head. Philistine!

I’m up to over 200 bottles of ink now (have temporarily lost count) and I’ve found that instead of enjoying my collection I’m just chasing the latest and greatest.  I’m hoping you folks can give me some solid advice on how to display, store, and organize my inks so that I stop buying new bottles, taking one or two fills, then stashing them and forgetting them on my closet shelves.

This is what I’m starting with: bottles are alphabetically lined up by brand and then by name on shelves with shelf risers. I make an ink sampler page for each new ink and put it in an alphabetically sorted binder and add it the my online blog inventory. New inks go on the bottom shelf until I get around to cataloging them.

I’d like to get out of the rut of over buying and under using. This is what I’m starting with:

I would need about 20 of those cabinets.

With the new FPN rules, now I REALLY don't know what to put in my signature.

I suspect that Sam would have to stand so far back to get all the bottles in the same frame that it would end up looking something like this:

https://www.guggenheim.org/artwork/3007

-- only with less detail....

A few years ago I was telling my husband that compared to Sam and Amberlea Davis I do NOT have that many inks, and his response was "This is NOT supposed to be a competition!"  (As it is, he tells people that I used to collect pens but that was just the gateway to the REAL addiction -- the inks....)

Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

The best I can do at this state is multiple photos of multiple ink locations.  Many in boxes, shelves, 4 drawer plastic cabinets, closets.  It would likely take 10 photos to just show them like that.  LOL!

I have 10 of those 4 drawer plastic containers that are all filled, and multiple layers of bottles stacked in each box, and boxes unopened for photos, so it’s way more than these photos even show.  A few more boxes in garage.  😂

With the new FPN rules, now I REALLY don't know what to put in my signature.
