So I doodled a thing, and figured out eventually how to get it into an album here.  Now if I can just figure out (again) how to get a picture into a post...

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

@amberleadavis Your mouse looks great as well and your "A" is awesome! 🤩

If I can figure out the lines, then I can pretend they are letters and I do okay.  @knarflj was in the inspiration.

Thanks to @amberleadavis for starting this thread and for mentioning the Ed Emberley book (perusing it over breakfast on Saturday made me realize how few lines you really need to sketch something fairly recognizable, and to @txomsy for helping me get over my reluctance to be less than perfect.  Also to @InesF, @LizEF, and @txomsy over at the Monthly Ink Challenge thread.  All those posts coming together seem to have cracked open something and helped me start to use my pens for more than writing.

The little mouse I posted was not my first effort, and not really what I would have drawn had I known how. :) But he was fun, and I will keep at it when I find a few minutes here and there.  Thank you all so much for your encouragement.

I love your mouse - you gave it character!

And, I love to see you overcame your self-inhibition. A good start is done, have fun at the further journey! :)

One life!

That is what in the end matters. As long as it is you will be moved to continue. And as long as you enjoy it, others (well, but for those who lack any empathy) will perceive it and (consciously or not) share the joy.

If you are to be ephemeral, leave a good scent.

I know we tend to joke a lot on FPN about what a bunch of enablers we are.  But I think what really makes the site special is that so many of the people here are encouragers!

@knarflj I am so glad you feel encouraged.

I'm also glad your mouse isn't skinny.  No mouse in my house should be thin.  :P
