Is this Waterman 42 for the Italian market?

Hi everyone! Please help me identify a Waterman 42 fountain pen. I think it's a pen for the Italian market, but to be sure, I can't find a similar body pattern anywhere.

Perhaps someone has a catalogue of Waterman fountain pens for the Italian market or some information on this?

There are many 42 “copies”, but this look genuine, especially if the 42 is imprinted on the bottom. I am not sure if it is really 18K. Did you get it tested for gold content?

Do you know if the nib spirals upward as it extends or does it just come straight up?

I have not tested the fountain pen for gold content. The nib extends in a spiral.

That link showed some very beautiful overlay pens.

I sent it to Francis to be re-sacked as an oh well, semi-flex.

He diddled the nib setting into a wet noodle.:D
