Lamy New Editions for 2024.

Last year was the first year since 2008 I did not purchase the limited edition color(s) of the Safari.

Too many pastels.

Too many very near same colors.

Multiple pens in one year (that seems like an opportunist money grab to me).

What I see here looks like Lamy is trying to clear out the overrun parts bins.

I think I’m done.

Vibrant Pink, 2018?

Thank You, Astronymus!

Is it fair for an intelligent and family oriented mammal to be separated from his/her family and spend his/her life starved in a concrete jail?

I think I don't like this year's colour combinations, because they don't harmonise with each other colour-wise. LAMY has always paid attention to this with the double editions. For example, combining complementary colours.

Thank you for posting this! It seems to harmonize a bit better.

I am sorry to report that despite my reservations about the section color I broke down and ordered both of these today from Endless Pens. They have a good sale (you have to be on their mailing list for the discount I believe) and I figured I might as well have them. The Pink Cliff (top) is matte, while Violet Blackberry (bottom) is shiny. No projected shipping date but I only paid about $14.40 each.

ninad : you are not to be the only one to buy them. I am waiting for them to hit the market😉.

That's good to know that I'm not alone! I am addicted to buying Safaris and since 2008 have all the colors that I loved (which is most except last year and a couple of others). So initially it was compulsive behavior but I'm actually happy with the colors... I think.

Do you have a link?

Creative juices look to be dried up.

Yes! Because there are still lots of colors Lamy could use for the Safari. Like a cafe au Lait color, or any brown that isn’t too dark. A true green would be nice. Burgundy would be nice. Or more play with cap finials and clips being different colors.

I did the same....the 2024 Special Edition ink is also a very good value....and it's a 50ML jar.

This is the link: https://endlesspens.com/products/lamy-fountain-pen-safari-kewi-special-edition-2024

BUT you'll have to create an account to see it. My recommendation is, to create an account, go to this link: https://endlesspens.com/collections/hop-drop and use the code on top of the page there. The page will also list the pen among other sale items.

I haven't seen the ink actually being shown anywhere—only the bottles. Have you seen the exact colors yet?

I have an account and have done business with them and the link still doesn't work. Oh well.

Hmm maybe you have to be "Gold" tier? This is what I see (price is before the coupon code)

The one is described as Cliff and Blackberry...

I have not seen any sample writing of either.

With the sale price and the discount code the ink ends up costing $6.40 for a 50ml bottle...compare that to sailor and others.

The main body of the pens are dark burgundy and dark purple, perfect for office use , very professional looking.

A step up is the Studio, another step up is either the Scala or the Aion.

By adding last year's pastel to the regular color lineup, Lamy is delighting Spring colors lover from 7 to 77 years old!

The pink rollerballs and ballpoints sold out twice, last year, when they came out and when the Al-Stars came out.

So I thought I missed out on them for good. Not so. Delighted!

I wish Lamy made the white Joy a regular edition, the white with light gray accent Safari and Joy are ultra classy.

Lamy Safari Violet BlackBerry

Well, if Lamy had produced a Safari that was all made in that shiny ‘Blackberry’ finish, I’d be all over it like a cheap suit.

But, as things stand, my Bank Account breathes a sigh of relief 😉

In an email I saw they will have matching inks to the names of the pens.  I hope someone buys the blackberry pen and ink, and posts about both.

I saw a video of the pens and the inks. The Cliff Ink is drawing me!
