Rauch combination Pencil /Pen

Hi,

Can anyone help with this combination pen. 
I picked it up recently, no holder markings, a yellow end stone, with a nib that says “J H RAUCH NY”. 
I know Rauch was from the 1840’s. 

Can anyone help with…
1. The date of the nib. I can’t find much about Rauch, though I know quite a bit about early Mabie’s. I certainly don’t know or have seen nib markings through the 1800’s.
2. The date for the combination pen/pencil holder
3. Any known resources on Rauch? 

It feels good to hold, the nib needs a little alignment but is a beautiful flex.
