I'm trying to realign the nib and hood of my Parker 21 Super but the nib unit is stuck to the hood and I can't get it out. Please help!

A Super 21 is built the same as a 51.

@Fudanshi62 I think you may need to use dry heat (such as using a hand-held blow hair dryer) to loosen the hood from the barrel.  Don't have the heat up super high, or the nozzle too close to the hood, and just have the warm air go evenly around it (slower and lower temperature is better, IME).

Hope this helps (but be warned -- I removed the hood from a regular 21, and unfortunately cracked the hood in the process).

I used a heat gun when I went on a P-51-nib-upgrade binge. Never got a hair dryer to melt the shellac in a Parker hood. As others have suggested, wave the pen through the path of the heat gun, slowly turning. Never hold the hood stationary, since it is easy to scorch a hood.

I don't know if a Super-21 hood is weaker than a P-51 hood, but it is worth going slowly and carefully.
