Almost deadline, and I don't see where to apply the STARS discount code.

Never mind, found it.

Platinum has discontinued this model, so these are probably remaindered leftovers. The President was a good, solid pen, but without the modern Platinum cap insides that help prevent drying out. So these can dry out, but still not all that fast. Definitely a good price, although the 18K nib on mine is quite stiff.

I own a president with the Coarse nib and I love it.  The increase in size from the 3776 is appreciated and the Coarse nib is smooth and wet.  Tremendous value at current prices (IMO).  The slip and seal cap would be nice but I haven't really had any issues with my President keeping it inked for 3-4 weeks (which is the most I'll do on any pen or ink).

It’s basically a broader double broad.   Minimal line variation but a thick, smooth, wet line.  Not well suited to small writing or a grid notebook but fine for anything else.  Lovely for signatures, addressing envelopes, etc.

Ah, thanks, @nm4!  I'm not so much into broad(er) nibs, as most of my fountain pen use is writing lecture notes, outlines, and grading papers.

I got an email note from Endless Pens today, saying that the pen has not yet arrived. There was no additional information on an expected arrival date.

I am possessed of patience.

I ordered a Rearo [sic] from Amazon on 9/24. I'm still waiting for a ship date.

The Rearo...that would be Amazon Japan as the seller I would guess.  Did it say "usually ships within 4 to 6 weeks"?

Yes, Amazon Japan was the seller. I don't recall whether the listing said something to that effect when I placed my order. Now it just says "Currently unavailable. We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock." Evidently I ordered the last one, if I do in fact get one.

Going purely by memory, the two options are "ships in 4 to 6 weeks" or "usually ships..."  The former is normally quite an accurate time estimate.  The later can mean anything.  I've had 2 of the "usually ships" cancelled recently after waiting a year, but the Realo is a standard offering from Amazon Japan.

I received just about all of my orders within the 4 to 6 week time frame.  Only one ordered was canceled.  I probably have bought about 15 pens over the past 2 years from Amazon Japan.

And I've probably bought 100, which may explain my larger cancellation numbers.
