Vintage (I think Japanese) fountain pen identification from around the 50s

Good evening all! (At least in the Netherlands). I recently bought a fountain pen because it looked nice. However, I have no idea what pen it is and whether it was a good deal. I have two clues:

  • On the nib is written: "FOUNTAIN PEN"
  • The nib is a Special HARDEST IRIDIUM -<1>- nib

I found two comparable pens on Ebay, however this clib is slightly different.

Example 1 Ebay

Example 2 Ebay

The pen is a piston filler and assumable from Japan. I would like to know what model and/or brand it is.

I could not upload all photos, so the link provide a little more: Photos of the pen

I hope you van help me out! Best, David

Your pen is a noname, one of the quite many no name pens from the 1950s. Generic clip and nib. It is not a piston filler. The blind cap is a shut off mechnaism. The pen is an eyedropper. The shut off mechanism allows ink to flow to the section. Then the pen is not used the blind cap is closed. When you use the pen you should not need to open the blind cap more than 1/4 turn. DO NOT pull it out and wiggle it as this will damage the seal. You should fill the pen with water to see if the blind cap leaks. If you enjoy the pen it can be repaired.
