Welcome to a dusky blue black by Organics Studio from the Elements series, made in Maryland, USA.

Ink is muted, with lubrication slightly below average

From Vanness website:

THE ELEMENTS SERIES – our take on a collection of the essential colors of any writing ink collection. These fountain pen inks makeup a set of ‘simple’ colors, tasked with coloring the basic spectrum of pure colors. These chemistry-themed inks were our first foray into the ink world, and have stuck with us ever since.

and about Manganese.

Manganese was first isolated in 1774 by Johan Gahn. It is used for its various oxidation states as the colorant for commercial pigments. It is also a crucial component of steelmaking.

Let's start with the chroma:

If you write with a gusher and flex it'll ghost and bleed through on thin copy paper...

Watertest: This was removed by filling a pipette with water and dabbing it with a tissue paper. It has no water resistance...

Thanks for the review, as always.  I'm now curious as to how this ink looks next to something like Pelikan 4001 Blue Black.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

That’s a beautiful blue-black, I like the aged look of this one a lot 😍.

Love the drawing, and especially that stupid mouse that doesn’t seem to realize that umbrellas and lightning are NOT a good combination.

A question here: how did you get that thin lightning line against that blue background? Some trick of the trade or just very patient while drawing ?

The lighting was an after thought! ;) Was planning to use bleach but it wasn't reacting as fast as I wanted so I used the silver marker... :D

If you mean the silver lighting , I did it with an oil based silver marker. If you mean the thin line close to the umbrella, that's probably a non erased pencil line

Thanks!  It's interesting how similar the writing parts look but how different the swabs are.

Thank you, @yazeh!  Great review, as always. :)  This color is right up my alley and went straight onto my "inks to sample" list.  Love the water-test kitty with his extra long tail. ;)  And the kitty & mouse watching thunderstorm is fabulous - really shows off the range of the ink, and it's the perfect color for a thunderstorm. :)
