Dad’s Parker collection:

ParkerrekraP

Recommended Posts

I was at my Dad’s house last night and we we’re looking his collection!  I always loved to go Pen Hunting with him as a kid.  Thought these would bring some joy the fellow Parker Enthusiast. He knows a good amount about them but you if see any special, call it out.  I’m sure there are some details we don’t know about.

That’s an awesome collection! Dads and their penabling, that’s how I got started, too.

Top 5 of 26 (in no particular order) currently inked pens:

Pelikan M300 CIF, Pelikan Edelstein Golden Beryl

MontBlanc 144R F, Diamine Bah Humbug

Sheaffer 3-25 EF ringtop, Skrip Black

Waterman Caréne Black Sea, Teranishi Lady Emerald

Pilot 742 FA, Namiki Purple cartridge

always looking for penguin fountain pens and stationery

Mod hat on here....

I've left this open because we do like to share our pens here, and family is important.  It's a nice bunch of pens!  Look at that gorgeous, big rosewood HR Endura!  But do keep in mind that selling is not permitted in general forums, and the OP doesn't have enough posts to qualify at the lowest level.  Any hint this is crossing over into sales will be reason to close and hide the thread.

Very nice pens!

Several are not Parker though. As far as I can see, there are also some Conklin, Waterman and Wahl-Eversharp pens.

Welcome ParkerrekraP.

I don't know much about Parker, though I do have four 45s (fine, extra fine, accountant and fine italic) carefully collected so they are all from different countries... Thankyou for showing us your Dad's collection.

Will work for pens...

Thinking about this - my apologies to the OP.   I handled this poorly.  It could have been handled better with a back channel note  rather than a public comment.

I thought FPN was about sharing pen information and helping others.  It is to bad that mostly it is treated as a place to sell, mostly by people that have zero content posts.

Same goes for FPG.  Far to much selling by people that provide minimal or no content.

It used to be.  Many of the knowledgeable people who were here at the beginning have either passed on, or have left.  I miss them.

This post is from Amber the Moderator - I've hidden posts that I think do not reflect our goals or violate the rules as clearly stated in our guidelines.

  • The Fountain Pen Network is primarily a site set up for fountain pen lovers, and for those interested in all things pen related.
  • The Fountain Pen Network is run by a few handfuls of volunteers whose aim is to keep The Fountain Pen Network a pleasant, useful, and entertaining site for the pen community.

As a moderator, part of what we are trying to do is keep the site friendly and we do that by enforcing the rules.  So many of these threads start with information sharing and meander into sales.  Ron was trying to preemptively remind us about the rules.

Because seriously, those are beautiful pens and who wouldn't want to buy them? But until we have our classified section back, sales are limited to the marketplace.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

My dad is not looking to sell. I only posted here to share and see if there was some info he does not know about.

I think he should enjoy every one of those beautiful pens. I'd love to see close-ups of them.

Unless you received a PM about the content of a post, your post did not violate the rules.  Posts that refer to posts that have been hidden will also be hidden.  Hopefully, we can get back on track to see the lovely pen collection.
