I have a Jinhao 159x

Is that the old metal-bodied Jinhao 159 with the size no.35 nib, or the larger resin-bodied Jinhao X159 with the size no.40 nib?

Anyone know if this kind of Jinhao has replaceable nibs?

Yes, for both models. In the Jinhao Flagship Store (i.e. Jinhao official store) on Taobao/Tmall:

It is always a surprise to me that Jinhao Flagship Store on Aliexpress is so terrible.  Very few of their products available.  No nibs or nib units, for example.

There was some discussion recently, here or on FB, about this no-name Chinese Lamy Safari clone. I bought it and it arrived this week. If it’s actually a titanium alloy, then the alloyed metal is lead, because this is a pretty heavy pen. The cap is especially heavy, with an internal component near the top making it almost comically heavy.

I haven’t inked it, so I can’t speak to performance. It comes with a crude fake Lamy converter and what is probably a fake ‘Lamy/EF’ nib, although it appears to be well made. The cap does not post on the barrel at all, not very Safari-like!

as you can see from the photos, there are a couple of unfinished or improperly finished areas on the pen. It comes with a converter section to make it into a rollerball and a leatherette carrying case, but at $40, I don’t recommend it.

Thanks! Heavy pens are my nemesis.

Someone needs to tell the chinese brands to copy the design of the Parker Vacumatic Imperial. I just rediscovered it and that pen is one of the most beautiful pens I have ever seen, so elegant and it looks like it could be one of the most confortable pens ever too. Just make it a cc guys, no need to stress over the filling sistem. Jinhao I'm looking at you, jut put a nr.5 nib on it and I'll buy 20.

I have my doubts as to whether it is actually run by someone properly affiliated with Jinhao. ‘Ms Rao Monopoly Brand Pens’ and ‘jinhao Flagship store’ have operated, obviously as separate fronts for the same mob, for years sporting the same product ranges at largely the same prices (and with the same discount offers as they come up). The images in the product listings are often watermarked ‘rao’ or ‘you ping’ — more often than I recall Jinhao's official marketing images (which other sellers also use on AliExpress and Taobao), complete with corporate logo, were used by those two stores. Also, the ‘jinhao Flagship store’ carries a few products bearing other brands (e.g. Baoer, and pens fitted with Yiren nibs and non-Jinhao converters in unbranded bodies) or no branding at all (e.g. some of the Lamy Safari lookalike pens with flat duck bill shaped clips, and some non-refillable disposable fountain pens), as well as other products (e.g. other-branded permanent markers).

Hongdian C1

My thought on seeing this pen was large, light weight, and a styling I’d have to have in my hand to know if I liked it. I like the range of bright colors with matte black trim. How do you like it?

The Majohn T6 arrived today—I’m a sucker for skeleton pens. It’s a big pen. A couple close-ups of the clip—is it spoiled by the paste gems?

I don't have the pen myself, but I like the color combinations of yellow/white and black. It is going to be on my list, but not on the top as I have a big list.

This pen looks lovely - I've searched for wood & horn on Ali Express and Ebay with no joy - is it Hongdian or Jinhao?

72 is the actual brand name , they were not known cause their main product line is dip pen / glass pen , and they had only 3 fountain pens, this wood and horn and a Faux Ivory with same styling , and recently added a one with just different acrylic material , all turned , the nib it came with is a standard generic no.6 , its C/C , standard plastic feed , they are priced at 115RMB for the Wood and Horn , and I believe a bit cheaper for the other two finishes

No idea if any oversea retail , I order from them straight

It was said before...not easy to see all those pens when you have too many already. I like those stones and the pen looks great. Now I want one as well! 😁

Mech-for-i  - Oh well, thanks for the extra info. I'll keep an eye out and see if they turn up at Ali Express eventually.

New colors for the Jinhao 82 Mini. At first I dismissed them as parts-swaps with regular 82s but the barrel and its finial are unique to the 82s. Multiple ads, some cheaper.
