Recommended Posts

I want to start a tread where we post new pens that you find interesting. I'm gonna skip over the one that already have posts and already have treads started like the newly released Jinhao 9019, Majohn V1, etc.

So I'm gonna start with this pen. Hongdian D1, I have no Idea if it's new or not, but yesterday I saw it for the first time on aliexpress.

There are other overlay pens too but this one looks a lot more classy than those.

A cheap alternative to ultem fountain pens, with titanium fittings for just under 40$.

Is this made of ultem or is it resin made in the shade of ultem? What's the name of this pen and/or a link to it?

They claim it's polyetherimide (PEI) which to my google knowledge is ultem, and also has a Schmidt nib.

The title is this one on aliexpress, copy paste and you will find many results with it and ballpoints too:

Majohn T6 just released on Taobao. Brass overlay with a variety of colours across 2 designs inspired by skyscrapers and presumably the Beijing National Stadium that’s in the shape of a bird’s nest.

No frills black ebonite pen with a Jowo #6 from Tramol. Comes in torpedo or flat top, both with either a matte or smooth finish. All for under 400 RMB.

Actually thinking of getting one to try lacquer work with.

I love the street light built into the end of the clip, and the blue and the one with the street signs are both very good looking.

I’m certainly going to get one of these. I like the cap on the first one a lot but not the traffic indicator signs on the barrel, so it’s probably the other style for me. Innovative!

I'm very tempted to get one of these myself, I just can't decide which one. What color did you order and from where?

Clear with the black ends seemed cleanest to me. Early on, I was offered the pink one but declined. The blue is nice, but none of the others are my thing. It’s no longer available for sale, but if you contact 365Days Stationary Store, they may be able to help you. You might want to see my post on FPN’s facebook page for more info about that. You are the only other person who appears to have noticed them.

Thanks. I'm a fan of the 100 series and try to keep an eye for new colors they might launch, and although I do not like skeleton/metal pens, I make exception when it's sterling silver involved.

There is a video on youtube but it's in chinese so I have no idea what the person is saying.

I’ve been collecting 100s a little too. It would be too difficult to chase all the colors so I focus on trim variants, like the red, black, and yellow models with the banner century on the barrel. And, yes, any pen with sterling trim always gets my interest!

I can find at least one Taobao store with them still available for 299 RMB so they are not entirely unavailable

Quite cheap! I wonder if it’s actually available, however. And for me, and I suspect most US buyers, availability on Taobao doesn’t equate to actual availability.
