Yard-o-led Victorian

One design of the Yard-o-led fountain pens is the Victorian that has been produced in two sizes. It has always been the same design or there were changes? I know that is hand engraved, but I mean radical differences.

From what I understand, the patterns are hammered by an individual artisan.  There is no standard pattern.  If you look at the Yard-O-Led videos online, the craftsmen state that they can tell who made a given pen just by looking at the pattern on the pen.  I don't think that any major changes have been made.  They use a nickel plated gold Bock nib with a custom feed.

A Viceroy Victorian Standard is my grail pen.  Unfortunately, it's sort of also the "when I win the lottery" pen, because I can't afford one.  (The Grand Victorian would be too large and heavy for me; and the "pocket" size one did not appear to take a converter, and be cartridge only -- and that's a dealbreaker for me.... :()

I have one that I use every day. It lives to the hype in general. I do wish there was a bit of an intermediate size between the Standard and the Grand though. The Grand is definitely too big and heavy for me, but the Standard's grip section is really very thin. I've mostly become used to it, but still wish it was a bit wider.

Midsouthern-Dad: Thank you for your comments. Grail pens and "When I Win the Lottery" pens are essential parts of this hobby

True, that.  But of course I'm also the outlier -- the self-professed "consummate cheapskate"....
