That's awesome! I didn't know they were released so soon - I expected sometime in autumn!

How long is the barrel? Is it like the Miles Davis?

Not sure how long the Miles Davis is. I will measure it later and let you know how long

Thanks for sharing the news (and the photos) — I have been advised that my local MB Boutique — in the US — will likely have them later this month.

Ok so I managed to take more pics now. As you can see it’s the longest pen I have in the collection! The main feature that drew me to the pen is the fantastic use of the snowflake to represent the skull and crossbones pirate flag. To my knowledge it’s the first time MB have ‘defaced’ the snowflake in this way

That's awesome, thank you! That snowflake is fantastic! They defaced the snowflake on the Elvis edition as well, but not in a way that's anything near as aesthetically meaningful and accomplished as this.

Is it the text on the cap's upper ring sinistrorse/specular?

The links below have been posted before, but they might be illuminating.

The two less exclusive Robert Louis Stevenson models are second from the top in the pull-down menu in this first link:

The artisan Robert Louis Stevenson models are second from the left at the top in this second link:

This screen capture from the first link shows what Montblanc has to say about the text on the cap’s upper ring.

Yes it’s says “Under the Wide and Stary Night” but written counterclockwise

What a beautiful pen! Long john silver would be glad

LJS would likely grab the whole lot in the night and bury them somewhere that is a difficult to find place

The pen is nothing for me but the ink could be interesting.

Nice - but I would have been more interested if they had used Jekyll and Hyde as the inspiration rather than Treasure Island.

So like a double pen, with a fountain pen nib in one end, and a sharpie in the other?

I really like this looks of this pen and the snowflake.  Of all my writer editions, i think this one would  be second to the Tolstoy.  The hammered metal just makes that pen beautiful.  This Stevenson pen though is one of the nicer Writer editions lately.  Not real happy with the way pricing seems to continue to rise!  Haven't seen any writing samples yet!
