Help me identify this Parker ? pen

Recommended Posts

I bought this gold plated pen at a boot sale in Italy last year, and I was wondering if someone could confirm if it's a genuine Parker or some sort of Frankenstein pen.
It's pocket sized, about 113mm capped.
The only marking on the body is the 'laminato oro' on the cap band.
The squeeze converter looks genuine, this reads:
PARKER
To fill, press ribbed bar at least 5 times
The Parker Pen Co Ltd
London, England
Any ideas? Maybe it's some kind of counterfeit?
Thanks,
Dan

Not genuine Parker but also not a counterfeit. Italian jewellers were well known for manufacturing high quality overlays in gold and silver in the 1950s. Check for instance the net for the history of “Kosca” fountain pens. Kosca Italy made quality gold filled parts (caps and barrels) and overlays on pens that were sourced from other manufacturers, including Parker.

Thank you, that makes sense

Further to useful Joss comments, it might be a kind of P51 Demi with customised gold-plating by some Italian jeweler?...

I am not an expert, but it does not look fake...

All the best is only beginning now...
