Faber Castell Deep Sea Green

Color: teal/gray/blue

Lubrication/flow: moderate

Shading: moderate

Intensity: moderate

Price: high

Water resistance: good (but not entirely water resistant). The water drop test lifted some ink from the page, but not much. I suspect it would be more resistant if allowed to dry longer. I only allowed it to dry for a few minutes.

Notes: I tried this ink on a whim because I thought it looked similar to the discontinued Organics Studio Aristotle. It is similar, perhaps a bit more blue. I would describe the color as sea foam green with a dab of gray and Kelly blue.

Thanks, @bokaba for the inktroduction. This ink looks interesting and is in my preferred colour range. And, I didn't know about (and didn't expect) such a comparably high water resistance.

So far, I purchased only one GvFC ink, was disappointed about colour and properties and never tried another from them.

Which pen did you use in the writing sample? Is it a wet or a dry writer?

One life!

Been on the fence about this ink for some time. And I'm still on the fence. I do like that the ink is waterfast and lightfast and archival.

Thank you for this review - I really like that teal colour. But I especially like the water resistance on this one. Might make it a good ink for use at work.

It would be interesting to know how this ink behaves in a fine nib pen on lower quality paper - like e.g. printing paper that is typically found in an office environment (feathering? Show-through & bleed-through).
