Are these the right nibs?
Bent nibs for WS/Yong Sheng 601, 618
 

I did buy a gold 601 nib for my 618 last fall, and I read that the 51 nibs don’t  fit.

  Pen Store on Aliexpress. They have 14k in ef and f, 12k f.

Good find…. Funny, they copied the pen but made a miniature nib and collector.  I wonder if anyone made a full size clone.

Hero made (makes?) a 616 Jumbo that is the same size as a 51, I think. I have the smaller version. It’s an ok pen, the plastic feels really cheap.

How important is the Paper for picking up Ink Nuances? 

For this comparison I chose Sailor Shigure, a dark purple-blue ink.

The pen was a Pilot 743<W>

 

 

 

 

I couldn't explain why View Corona looks like this compared to the other samples so I repeated both the writing and the photo and got the same results.

 Also, duh, I forgot about the Hero 100. I was supposed to get one but I am going through the refund process because they never sent it.

 CR Stationery Store on AliExpress. This is the only trouble I’ve had with them, but the experience definitely soured my mood.

The paper really does make a difference doesn't it?  You'd think these samples were actually different inks.

So, does this sample of the Shigure on the Corona paper have a lot of sheen?  Or has the purple changed to brown?
