Krishna Lyrebird Funturn

This is a cute little pen and the smallest ebonite pen in my collection. The first thing I noticed when I received the pen today is how well-made this pen is in every aspect.

Dr.Sreekumar has paid attention to all the little details that makes the pen not only look beautiful, but also write beautifully. The nib is a Kanwrite #6 with iQR grind and writes smoothly and consistently out of the box.

The triple-start threads are reminiscent of Kim ACR pens, and hats off to Dr.Sreekumar for bringing this back.

The pen came with a complimentary bottle of Krishna Classic Blue Black ink, which was a pleasant surprise 🙂

Thanks to Dr.Sreekumar once again for this lovely little pen.

The Ratnamson Supreme is for size comparison.

Their pens usually get sold in minutes, and I was lucky, for the first time in two years, to get this pen)

Excellent work by Sreekumar sir indeed. It's incredible to think he's churning out inks and pens like this while being a full time doctor... I've visited the hospital he works and it's as busy as any (back then I didn't know he was a doctor there).

While I do like to buy one of his pens, I won't be able to afford what he currently sells. For now at least...

Yes, he is a Genius indeed. He makes these pens, lacquers them, grinds the nib, and all these while making and selling his inks worldwide, in addition to his day job. Phew.

BTW this is the most affordable Krishna pen I've seen in a while. It's plain ebonite, not lacquered, and came with his entry-level iQR grind. His other pens are mostly lacquered and have his premium iQRC or RCMB grind and such. This was priced 1750 including shipping.

I saw the listing on facebook, unfortunately I was not very fond of the large step up from the relatively small grip section, so I called it a pass.

Yes, it's the smallest pen in my collection as well. I have been following their FB page for couple of years, and when I got the chance to get any Krishna pen for once, I just bought it
