What is this lamy al star called?

Hello there,

Could someone please help me identify which lamy al star model this is. There's very similar ones knocking around i.e. turmaline pacific and blue green. If you could help by looking at the pictures it would be much appreciated. Also if it is any particular special edition that is in high demand/price.

I picked it up off ebay, 2nd hand (only some minor scratches - typical for an al star), for just under £13 with 2.50 p&p ( it was only listed as al star) . I now have a very small al star collection- lamy al star bronze 2019 special and this unknown.

1st pic is in natural light, 2nd with flash... All the lamys look different in various light levels/conditions.

It is one of those 3, I have 2 and saw the third one at a store, I didn't buy it because it was too green.

I think it is the Turmaline because it is darker and greener than the Pacific.

Is it fair for an intelligent and family oriented mammal to be separated from his/her family and spend his/her life starved in a concrete jail?

Hard to say, impossible to be sure with the pictures. But if I had to guess I'd say a pacific. The turmaline is a bit darker with a hint of green. For sure not green enough for a bluegreen.

I picked this turmaline off eBay for $20 last month, pretty intense color not really captured by the camera.  Here is a picture for comparison.

This is how my Pacific looks like in certain light!

I am always having loads of trouble remembering which is which and which ink goes into each of the AL Star in the teal family.

I wrote down the ink that goes to the Turmaline and I have to remember that the Pacific uses Lamy matching ink.

They are always the last pens, in the collection, to be filled. I believe I filled each with the wrong ink, more than once, the inks are not compatible and it gave me an "ink mix stuck in the converter" syndrome.

It has just be sorted out and the pristine clean part are drying.

I think, from now on, I will fill one as the first pen to be filled and the second the last pen with ink in the blue/green family.

Hi all, thanks for all your helpful replies... I think we'll never know 🤣. Strange think why lamy would make 2 special editions very similar in colour.
