Looks a bit like a 1960's cartoon rocket

Is this a known type of fountain pen ? I got a twin set FP and Biro in a steel case in a 2nd hand shop.

I thought they looked snazzy, but cannot find any branding.

I used google to do a photo search.

My pens are almost identical to things called Lexon Aviagraphic Pens so I think that is what they are.

Couldn't find the FP&Biro twin set but did find one identical to my biro.

Couldn't find many Lexon Fountain pens on google

Not worth very much but I reckon they look great.

That’s interesting, it looks like a hooded nib made to look like an integrated nib, at least in 2D.

Top 5 of 26 (in no particular order) currently inked pens:

Sailor 🐧 Mini Pro Gear Slim M, Van Dieman’s Neptune’s Necklace

MontBlanc 144R F, Diamine Bah Humbug

Pelikan M605 F, Pelikan Edelstein Moonstone

Waterman Caréne Black Sea, Teranishi Lady Emerald

Pilot 742 FA, Namiki Purple cartridge

always looking for penguin fountain pens and stationery

@Bill Steamshovel I was curious about the brand, so I looked at the Lexon website just now.  Seems to be some sort of conglomerate of individual businesses based in France, but when I did a search for "fountain pen" I got no results.  So now even more puzzled.

This one seems identical to my biro. The case identical to my case but my case also has a slot to hold the fountain pen

I get the impression they are 30 years old and designed by a bloke called Marc Berthier, so understandable they are not on the website any more, Am intrigued so I will write to them.

There are a few postings on ebay and Reddit for the Biro but nothing regarding the fountain pen.

Oh no! You've stolen George Jetson's pens!

They certainly went all the way in trying to make those pens look futuristic. And here we are in the future looking for pens that look old fashioned.

On a sacred quest for the perfect blue ink mixture!

Except of course for those of us looking for pens that ARE old-fashioned (aka, vintage pens).

Response from Lexon below, confirming the set was made by them.  Matt Chrome - slightly more U-Beaut than the aluminium I had previously assumed.

Hello Bill,

I would like to inform this products are from a previous collection.

The set includes a fountain pen and a biro.

What's more, the barrel is in matt chrome.

We remain at your disposal.

Best regards,

Customer Care Agent
