Does anyone know anything about the Marshal Pen Company?

We have acquired 3 of these pens in the boxes, marked "Marshal M-75". We have not been able to find out anything about the company. A lot of the writing on the box and the pen is in English, but there is a paper label with characters on it like we have never seen, so that is not helping us to identify the pen.

Has anyone heard of this brand?

Thanks!

Me too.  Looks a lot like a Sheaffer Triumph nib, so wondering if it's a knockoff of a Sheaffer.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Is that paper label on the pen the one you were talking about, with the strange writing on it? Could you show the rest of it? What I can see there looks like it could be stylized Roman letters and Arabic numerals.

Here's a link to a site showing all the writing systems in use today, I don't see anything close to what I can see there except Latin/Roman letters. https://omniglot.com/writing/langalph.htm

We couldn't get a good photo without removing the label. We couldn't even tell which side was up!

I could be totally wrong but this looks like a very blocky stylized version of the Thai alphabet. Using Google Translate seems to agree with my suspicions and identifies it as Thai but translates it to gibberish so maybe it isn't...

Pilot and other brands had some factories in Thailand in the 70's/80's, I think? Maybe it came out of one of those as a regional brand. The imprints on the body and cap are very reminiscent of some 60's/70's Pilot pens I have as well. I'd guess if not Thailand, at the very least somewhere else in Asia.

It definitely feels like an Asian pen......

  • 10 months later...

I have a Marshal Super de Luxe with INJECT PROP M-81 REG.PAT.NO487834 engraved on the barrel. It is a snorkel filler design I have never seen before. MARSHAL ELECTRA DESK- REG.PAT. OFFICE MASTER engraved on the nib. Writes beautifully but cannot find any information on this pen other than this thread. Has anyone found out any more?
