My red pen purchases have gone up recently because red was my Dad’s favorite color. So I buy red pens if I like them because I miss him, and it makes me happy to think he would like the next red pen.

So does mine! Mine is the steel nib with the little gold thingie on top. I have ordered another - a NOS one - with a gold stub. It should arrive Monday. From the vendor's photos, it has some yellow which my old one does not.

Is that from giardino.it?  I saw the email, and looked online. I was rather surprised to see the yellow.

I really like that phrase, as old as it is; it gives comfort.

My other pen is a Montblanc.

Rose-black Clipper( no name)...have in blue too. Semi flex non-stubbed nib, with the three tailed Super Constilation also called the Clipper. A plane I worked on. JQo5tID.jpg

The Wearever box was just a shipping box, the pen has nothing to do with Wearever or any other US pen. gLfkQFl.jpg

The three tailed plane is more visible.

The Super Connie/ Clipper (with a different paint job was the first USAF #1 Presidential plane used by Ike.)

IMO one of the sleekest most beautiful planes ever made. It was overly expensive in the body is framed from with decreasing  sized bracings to make it so aerodynamically sleek.

The DC-4 went with a fat cheaper to make same size bracing.8CA6AOj.jpg

Wow-  love that Clipper pen and those airplanes Bo Bo.

I have just a few red ones:

Your desk pens are really cute, and the Pilot Lucina is so jaunty!  Do the rubberized grips help?

Thank you. Yes they do.

I use these pens for drawing. The grips help me control the pen when doing my best to draw accurately. If interested, you can see my fledgling efforts in my album.

@Maurizio, I have the same piston filler (on the left in your photo).  For a two, three dollar pen, it's great.

I recently bought one, I haven’t used it yet. I’m hoping it works well with shimmer inks. Mine is blue, of course.

It’s a Wing Sung, don’t recall if it’s a 3008 or some other number. Got 4 for about $12.00 (colored red, green, blue & gold). Out of the four, 2 work very nicely and I use this one as my red ink pen, and the green one for Noodler’s Sequoia.

I took this picture of my red pens back in 2005.  All have found new homes in the last 18 years, but I still like to look at the picture.   Left to right - Conway Steward Dandy, Parker Challenger, early Waterman HYP, Pelikan M620 Madrid, Parker Vac Major, Eversharp Skyline.
