Okay, I'll play. Here's a smattering of red pens. I have some other red-adjacent pens not shown here (pink, red decoration, etc.). Not a great pic, sorry.

Great assortment!  I’m constantly tempted by the E95s, haven’t pulled the trigger on it yet.

@antares1966 the E95s, or in my pen’s case Elite, is a fun looking pocket pen. I’d recommend watching prices. I got a good deal on that behemoth website in September 2023 for $81 with tax. Or look for them on eBay, maybe find a version from earlier.

My latest red pens: a Leonardo Dodici Guilloché "Burgundy" and a Leonardo Momento Zero in an old "Marmo Venato" (Veined marble) celluloid. Both have #6 14 Kt 1.1mm stub nibs, and both are wonderful writers.

Those are both beautiful, @dms525. I really like the shape of Leonardo pens, and tbe materials are stunning.

@antares1966 this is the way ^. You shouldn't have to pay much more than $100 for one if you look around. And I highly suggest getting one. I have one in every nib size and they are one of my favorite pens in my entire collection. Smooth, beautiful writers and very elegant looking.

I hope this is not sacrilegious, posting a photo of a rollerball, my Retro 51 Vega. I only recently started collecting fountain pens and I don’t have a red one yet! The Vega is an officially licensed Smithsonian pen commemorating Amelia Earhart’s solo flight across the Atlantic in a Lockheed Vega.

I’ll allow it the once, because it’s Amelia. Did they make a matching FP? If so, you should get the set.

That still is pretty cool though.  Wondering now if Retro 51 ever made a matching fountain pen, because I've been a fan of hers since reading about her when I was a little kid.

De nada. And they are quite striking in person, too.

They have not made a matching FP. If they do I would be all over it! That is how I got into FPs. Two of my favorite Retro 51 RBs are Dino Fossil and Tesla. When they came out with FPs of these two, I bought them not with the intention of ever using them but just to display them. I already had many different FP inks because I refill old RB refills with FP ink to get a larger variety, and shades, of color in my RBs. Then it dawned on me to go ahead and put some ink in the Dino Fossil and Tesla FP. I was hooked!

Interesting.  I've seen Burgundy Decimos advertised, but this seems to be a brighter color than those.  Is this actually some new (or LE color)?  Or is it actually Burgundy -- but just under better light?

Burgundy.  In real life it's a bit darker.

Ah, bummer.  I had a similar problem when I got the Sailor 1911S Loch Ness Monster pen a few years ago -- the promo photos made the pen look blue-grey, but when it came it was more of a teal color (to the point I thought I'd been sent the wrong pen by mistake, until I took a photo of it on my phone to send to the place I'd ordered it from, and the flash made the pen look more like the promo photos....

Of course, Burgundy isn't a HORRIBLE color....   It's just that I tend to like "red" reds better....
