Red Pen Club- Show Me Your Red Pens!

OH, :yikes:cubed.

Osmia is my favorite pen, but I've seldom been so lucky and never in red.

Being in color was 30% more expensive.

In reference to P. T. Barnum; to advise for free is foolish, ........busybodies are ill liked by both factions.

Ransom Bucket cost me many of my pictures taken by a poor camera that was finally tossed. Luckily, the Chicken Scratch pictures also vanished.

The cheapest lessons are from those who learned expensive lessons. Ignorance is best for learning expensive lessons.

The coloured Osmia's are definitely more rare than the black ones. It seems the German market was very conservative and mostly demanded black pens.

Your Osmias are so beautiful, @Nethermark! I’ve never seen so many red ones.

My thought was anyone lively enough to show individuality stand out so got fired by bosses who didn't want any thinking.

Of course that is my thought on Germans.

In the '60's there were a lot more uniforms than now....in the US also...like the guy who ...ran out...to gas, check your oil, and wash your car window, back when we had insects.

Ha!  I'm now thinking back to some old gasoline ad from the 1960s where some guy is bragging to his girlfriend that he spent ten bucks on a foot pedal for his VW Bug that looked like a footprint, but was freaking out at the gas station about having to pay for the service guy pumping gas and checking his oil because he didn't know it was free.

Of course, in New Jersey, you're still not allowed to pump your own gasoline....  OTOH, it used to be way cheaper in NJ than in surrounding states (one time we had stopped to get the car filled up at place on Rt. 88, near where my parents had moved to after my dad retired.  And the attendant told us that the guy at the pump in front of the one we were at was complaining about the price per gallon and we told the attendant "Guess that guy hasn't driven through Connecticut recently!  Gasoline here is CHEAP in comparison!"

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Thank you, years of collecting and repairing, it is a Parker blue diamond striped Duofold, they really did use pretty celluloid patterns.

@GlenV that is an amazing collection of vintage red pens. Lovely.

Thank you! The mottled rubber ones are some of my favorites, I was lucky to find these in my imposed budget,  Most all under 50$ I think. Getting them cheaper often means more repairing though….The Eclipse is interesting it has threads the end of the barrel.

Ah, happiness. Time to buy another red pen to mark the Kansas City Chiefs going to the Super Bowl. Do I get a Kaweco Sport Classic red, or the Elite Royalty edition deep red?  The fans are nicknamed Chiefs Kingdom.

Ooooo....tough choice.

My latest ebook.   And not just for Halloween!

My other pen is a Montblanc.

I opted for the Classic Sport because it’s cheaper, and that allowed a bottle of Midori navy ink to be part of the order. It’s limited edition, so now or maybe never.

I love the contrast between the trim and the red, @Baka1969!

I agree. If I were forced to live with one color pen, I'd have to pick red.

n+1
