Identifing my pen brand and model

 I've got this ben long time ago from a friend, i think it's a Japanese brand, am not sure, please can you help me identifing it's brand name and model.

I don't know the answer, although I agree that it looks similar to a lot of Japanese pens. From the photos we can see two possible identification points. One is the clip, but I don't recognize it. The other is the nib, but most of whatever is engraved on the nib is hidden by the section; the three letters most visible appear to be "AVY" but I don't know what word or name that might be part of. 

 

The other place to look is inside. If you unscrew the barrel (back part) from the section (front part) there might be either a cartridge or a converter inside. The big 3 Japanese brands each has their own proprietary cartridge/converter size, so that might tell you something useful -- whatever is in there might be labeled with the pen brand.

You might be interested in this very similar pen a friend was selling. Perhaps the same except for the nib? Anyway, we never got a definite id.
